From Open Babel

Open Babel is developed, in part, on Mac OS X systems.

Consequently, several Mac-specific projects use Open Babel, including iBabel, a graphical interface to many of the tools and ChemSpotlight, a plugin for Apple's Spotlight technology.

In general, we recommend Mac users download iBabel and one of the following options for the Open Babel tools.

Mac installation options:
